New strain of corona appears in 18 states, including Maharashtra
New Delhi: The new strain of coronavirus has been reported in 18 countries (coronavirus India). Corona’s new strains have come to India from Britain, South Africa, and Brazil. So far 194 patients with this new strain (coronavirus new strain) have been found. In view of the growing number of corona patients in the country, the central government has started monitoring all these 18 states. The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has asked these states for information on new strain patients and the patients they come in contact with.

Of the 194 patients who were diagnosed with the new strain, 187 had a new strain of corona in Britain. There are 6 patients from South Africa and one patient from Brazil. The health ministry has also asked these states to increase surveillance on international travelers. These include states like Maharashtra, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Punjab.

Vaccination stopped for two days

Vaccination across the country will be stopped for the next two days on February 27 and 28. The Union Ministry of Health said this on Friday. The Co-Win mobile app will be updated to the public in these two days. Through this mobile app, ordinary citizens can register themselves for vaccination. Until now, only healthcare and frontline workers could register through this app. On this app, complete data of all vaccinated citizens are available. Certificates are also being issued to citizens through the app.

Vaccination to the general public from March 1

The second phase of corona vaccination in the country will start on March 1. Vaccination will be done in 10,000 government centers and 20,000 private hospitals. Sick citizens above 45 years of age and senior citizens above 60 years of age will be vaccinated. Citizens of this age group will get the vaccine free of cost if they go to government centers. But in a private hospital, they will have to pay for it. So far 1.30 crore citizens have been given the dose.

A total of 16,562 new corona patients were found in the country on Thursday. 12 thousand 203 people have been cured and 118 people have died. So far, more than 1 crore 63 thousand people have been infected. Out of this, more than 1 crore 7 lakh 48 thousand citizens have been cured. The number of deaths due to corona has reached 1 lakh 56 thousand 861. 1 lakh 52 thousand 849 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
