New Delhi: Cyclone Yaas has hit West Bengal and Odisha hard (PM Modi to visit Odisha West Bengal). Now the storm has moved to Jharkhand. It is raining heavily in Jharkhand. This has disrupted public life. The meteorological department, on the other hand, has issued alerts to several states, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inspect the worst-hit areas of West Bengal and Odisha, which were hit hard by the cyclone. Prime Minister Modi will first visit Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, where he will hold a meeting to review the situation. After this, Prime Minister Modi will conduct an aerial inspection of Balasore, Bhadrak and East Midnapore. The cyclone has caused severe damage in these districts. After this, Prime Minister Modi will hold a review meeting in West Bengal.

After hitting West Bengal and Odisha, the cyclone has moved on. But the storm has devastated thousands of families. More than two million people in West Bengal and Odisha have been hit hard by the storm. Four civilians have been killed in torrential rains and houses collapsing. Of these, 3 deaths are in Odisha and 1 in Bengal.

After Digha, Shankarpur, Mandarmani and South 24 Parganas districts in East Midnapore district of West Bengal, a total of 3 lakh houses have been destroyed in the whole of Bengal including Bakkhali, Sandeshkhali, Sagar, Frazerganj and Sunderbans. 134 dams have burst. Now they are being repaired. The cyclone hit West Bengal on Wednesday. At this time the wind speed was 130 to 145 km per hour. Against this backdrop, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit the cyclone-hit area by helicopter from May 28 to 29.

It is raining all over Jharkhand due to cyclone. In Ranchi, flood-like conditions have prevailed. Due to the cyclone, torrential rains have been continuing in Ranchi since Wednesday. Water levels in local rivers are rising. Considering the threat of cyclone, 8 NDRF companies are deployed in some districts of Jharkhand.

The cyclone is also hitting Bihar. Many districts including Bhagalpur, Supaul, Katihar and Purnia are receiving heavy rains with gusty winds.
