Corona vaccine optional; Center announces vaccination instructions

News Agency, New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health has clarified that vaccination for ‘Covid 19’ is optional. The vaccine made in India will be as effective as the vaccine made in other countries, the health ministry said.

It is important to take a full dose of the vaccine, whether or not one has had coronary heart disease in the past, to develop immunity to the virus. The ministry also advised that the required antibodies are produced two weeks after the second dose of the vaccine.

Frequently asked questions about the Corona vaccine were answered by the Ministry. Like other vaccines, these vaccines have some side effects. Some may experience mild fever and pain after receiving the vaccine. States have been instructed to take proper care of this. Two doses are to be taken at intervals of 28 days. All patients with cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure need to be vaccinated. People in this group are at high risk, so they need to be vaccinated.

The government has formed groups of individuals to be vaccinated on a priority basis considering the availability of vaccines. In the first phase, people working in the field of health and corona services as well as people above the age of 50 will be vaccinated. Concerned persons will be informed about the place and time of vaccination on the registered mobile number.

Online registration is required for vaccination. After registration, the information about vaccination will be communicated to the concerned person by sending an SMS on the mobile. One of the documents required for registration is a driving license, job card of Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme, PAN card, bank or post passbook, passport, pension document, job identity card, and voter identity card. The person concerned will be informed via SMS even after vaccination. After giving both doses, the certificate with a QR code will be sent to the mobile.

As a precaution, the ministry has advised people to stay at the center for at least half an hour after vaccination. In case of any problem after vaccination, the health officer or Asha Workers should be informed immediately. In the meantime, masks, sanitizers, and safe distance should be maintained, the health ministry said.
