Lieutenant General PGK Menon, Command of the 14th Corps, Leh, known as the Fire and Fury Corps, briefed the Army Chief on the situation in East Ladakh from various angles. On a one-day visit to Leh, Army Chief General Narwane reached Ladakh at 8.30 am today. The purpose of the meeting was to review the deployment of Indian troops in the bitter cold and the situation there, sources said.

General Narwane interacted with the troops deployed in remote areas and boosted their morale. The army chief encouraged the soldiers to continue working with “equal enthusiasm”, the army said.
