New Delhi: Farmers are protesting at the Delhi border against three farm laws of the central government. Farmers’ unions have once again given an ultimatum to the government. The agitation will not end till three new agricultural laws are withdrawn and India will be closed on December 8, farmers’ leaders said at a press conference on Sunday.

A press conference was held on Sunday on the Singhu border of Delhi. Farmers’ organizations have sent a strong message to the government. Farmers’ unions called a nationwide shutdown on December 8 and made a big announcement after the sixth round of talks on December 9. These organizations have appealed to the farmers to march to Delhi. The farmers’ unions have also announced what will happen to the meeting with the government on December 9.

PM Modi should listen to farmers’ ‘Mann Ki Baat’

This agitation of farmers is not only in Punjab. Farmers across the country are participating in this movement. The farmers have called for a shutdown in India, which has angered the ministers. It will be closed from morning till evening on December 8. Roads will be open for ambulances and weddings. Protests will be held peacefully, said farmer leader Baldev Singh Nihalgad.

Ministers discuss the draft

The government is keeping an eye on the farmers’ movement. An important meeting was held on Sunday at the residence of Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of State Purushottam Rupala and Kailas Chaudhary were present on the occasion. The three leaders discussed the draft of the meeting to be held on December 9. The three ministers discussed possible amendments to the Agriculture Reforms Bill.
