Haryana was witnessing the third wave of the corona, Chief Minister Khattar told the media after the meeting. We were first asked to make a list of who would be vaccinated. “The vaccine will be given by category – health workers will be given priority first and then we will give it by category,” Khattar said. “We have not yet decided on the category criteria,” Khattar said.
Stating that one crore masks are being distributed in the state of Haryana, Khattar also announced a ban on rallies in districts near Delhi, including Gurgaon and Faridabad.
The meeting was convened by Prime Minister Modi and was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Kerala Chief Minister K.S. Pinarayi Vijayan and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal were present.
