New Delhi: Many leaders and activists of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday went on a mass fast in support of the farmers’ agitation in Delhi. At this time, the party’s MP Sanjay Singh strongly attacked the Modi government over the farmers’ agitation. During the speech, Sanjay Singh mentioned Uttar Pradesh and without naming, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, referred to him as ‘Shakal’. He said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had sent him to fight Shakal. In Uttar Pradesh, Shakal has filed 15 cases against him. The villain in the 1980 superhit film Shaan is Shakal. Shakal was played by actor Kulbhushan Kharbanda.

MP Sanjay Singh recited lines of poetry while castigating Modi and Yogi Government. He said, ‘This peace is being sold at the hands of dishonest people, Nation is being sold, shrouds of poor people are being sold, Radha’s body is being sold in the markets. 

MP Sanjay Singh in his passionate speech further said, ‘These people are doing a deal for the whole country. He has given loans of Rs 1.5 lakh crore to some industrialists. If I told you to write ten and a half crores, you would get tired of writing zero on one. It forgives them millions of rupees in taxes every year. There are no rules for them. You take small demands, you are insulted. You are called a traitor. We do not want a certificate of treason or patriotism from you. I ask the BJP to tell us the names of 10 people associated with the RSS or BJP who sacrificed their lives in India’s freedom movement, then we will know that you are a patriot.
