Hyderabad: AIMIM chief MP Asaduddin Owaisi has advised states seeking to enact anti-love jihad laws to study the Constitution of India. “Any anti-love jihad law would be a violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution,” Owaisi said. (proposed act against love jihad will be violated of article 14 and 21 of the Indian constitution says Owaisi)

Such laws would be in violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution. If these governments want to do the same, then the Special Marriage Act should be repealed. This propaganda of hatred will not work, Owaisi said. Hyderabad was flooded, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party was trying to misguide unemployed youth. Owaisi has also asked what help the Modi government provided at that time. He also accused the Modi government of trying to give ethnic color to the Hyderabad municipal elections. However, the government’s move will not be successful this time as people know the truth, Owaisi said.

“Even if you go to the BJP leaders at night and ask them anything, they will still name Owaisi, traitors, terrorists, and finally Pakistani,” Owaisi said. He also raised the question of what financial assistance he had given to Telangana and especially Hyderabad in 2019.

A few days ago, the Uttar Pradesh government announced a strict law to curb the so-called love jihad. A similar announcement has been made by the Madhya Pradesh government. Speaking at an election campaign rally in Jaunpur on October 30, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said that the state government would forcibly stop love jihad. The Allahabad High Court has also recently ruled that conversion is not necessary for marriage.

Apart from Uttar Pradesh, states like Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Karnataka are also preparing anti-love jihad laws.
